About AlloClae Fat Grafting
AlloClae fat injections are a minimally invasive procedure designed to improve the contours of the face and body by using structured adipose tissue derived from donated fat. (2) The result of this process is similar to treatments like autologous fat transfer or lipofilling, where fat is harvested from areas with surplus fat, such as the abdomen or thighs, and injected into areas requiring more volume. However, what makes AlloClae unique is that harvesting is not required. (2) AlloClae is a specially formulated fat matrix that comes from donated fat that is ready to use. (3) Because the treatment uses fat instead of synthetic materials, there is a minimized risk of allergic reaction. (3)
AlloClae fat injections also leverage the regenerative properties of fat, making results both natural and sustainable.
Surgeons have noticed a consistent rise in demand for fat grafting techniques as patients become more aware of the advantages of using donor fat for cosmetic enhancement. (3)
Benefits of AlloClae
AlloClae offers patients numerous advantages. Patients who undergo AlloClae treatments from trained experts such as Dr. Wooten can experience benefits such as:
- Natural results: Since the procedure uses biocompatible fat and growth factors, results appear natural compared to synthetic fillers.
- Less invasive treatment: AlloClae procedures do not require liposuction, leading to limited downtime.
- Long-lasting effects: Fat cells integrate with the existing tissues, providing patients with results that can last for years.
- Low risk of allergic reaction or rejection: Since the fat is specially processed and formulated to be biocompatible, there is minimal risk of any adverse reactions.
- Soft and flexible texture: The injectable fat provides a soft texture and feel that mimics natural tissues, which may be preferred over synthetic materials.
- Improved skin quality: Fat injections can have added benefits for skin quality due to the presence of growth factors.

Preparation
As a minimally invasive and non-surgical treatment, AlloClae does not require extensive preparation. However, there are some key guidelines to follow to optimize results and ensure an easy recovery. Patients should avoid medications that could interfere with treatment, especially anything that could thin the blood. Alcohol and nicotine consumption should also be avoided for some time before and after treatment as directed by Dr. Wooten. It is sometimes recommended for patients to arrange transportation home after their procedure as well. Patients should also maintain a nutritious diet and stay hydrated before receiving their injections.
Your preparation instructions will be unique to your medical history and treatment goals, so they may vary from those listed above. Please read through yours carefully and follow them closely to optimize your procedure.
Procedure
The AlloClae injection procedure is a relatively easy process. After finalizing and reviewing your procedure details, Dr. Wooten will cleanse and sterilize the injection sites. If necessary, a topical anesthetic will be administered to reduce your discomfort. She will then carefully inject the AlloClae into the targeted sites using specialized syringes. (2) Each site may require multiple injection points to achieve balanced results. Patients typically spend approximately 30 minutes to an hour receiving their injections. Procedure time is brief, since there is no harvesting to be done via liposuction.
Recovery
Post-procedure, you may expect some swelling and bruising, particularly in the areas where fat is injected. Specific aftercare instructions will be provided, which may include applying ice packs or other cold compresses indirectly, maintaining a healthy diet and optimal hydration, resting for some time, and attending follow-up appointments as necessary. Many patients can resume most of their activities as normal immediately after treatment, though we generally recommend resting for a day or two. Exercise should be postponed after the procedure for at least 24 hours, or more as directed by your provider.
Results
The results from AlloClae fat injections are immediate and will continue to improve over time. You can expect fuller, more youthful proportions that blend seamlessly with your natural features. Many patients can achieve their desired results in just one injection session, but others may require touch-up injections to maintain or enhance their results. Dr. Wooten can help you determine how many injection sessions may be required to achieve and maintain your desired results.
Corresponding Procedures
AlloClae is one of many non-surgical rejuvenation procedures we offer at Beleza Plastic Surgery. In addition to AlloClae fat grafting, we also offer Renuva fat grafting. Renuva uses specialized fat cells to replace lost fat or enhance body contours. The main difference between the two is that AlloClae produces more immediate results. Patients receiving either AlloClae or Renuva injections can easily combine their treatments with other injectables. Dermal fillers like Restylane, Radiesse, Juvederm, Sculptra, Daxxify, and others are all common additions that can help replace lost volume and reduce wrinkles. We also offer Botox, which is one of the most common and effective ways of treating wrinkles.
